2016 Children’s Art festival



Spread the word! On Sunday, September 25th, from 10 A.M. – 4 P.M, FOSAA will be holding its 3rd Annual Children’s Arts Festival at the Amphitheatre. This is a totally interactive event and it’s FREE! Our participants include individuals and organizations that will engage children in dancing, singing, story-telling, theatre games, art and lots more. As a special treat the NASCAR show car will be on display in the parking lot! Concessions will be open all day and, there are specially packed goodie bags for the first 500 children.


Here’s a list of some of the great activities for the kids:

  • Join a drum circle with Ray Nutter
  • Meet your favorite WJCT/PBS Characters
  • Make sun catchers with the SJC Public Library Anastasia Branch
  • Visit the Bookmobile
  • Enjoy musical games and crafts with the St. Augustine Center School of Performing Arts:
  • Cavort with pirates at the Ancient City Privateers encampment,
  • Learn how to weave and make a loom with the TAG Children’s Museum
  • Chip and learn about The First Tee:
  • Dance all day with:Abella School of Dance, Magical Melodies, Carre Academy of Irish Dance and Skin ‘n Bones
  • Play theatre games with the Limelight KidzfACTory
  • Tell stories with Tale Tellers
  • Sing along with singer/composer Kat Archer
  • Visit the Alligator Farm booth for art/educational fun and a special animal guest
  • Learn about the SJC Watershed Protection Program through activities and displays
  • Create jar lanterns at The Red Sable
  • Enjoy the zany fun at Art on the Go:
  • Discover important information for parents at the Prevention Coalition of SJC: Stop at the FOSAA booth to learn more about FOSAA’s Summer Music and Arts Camp and Camp Rock
  • Learn about all the activities available to children at the Castillo de San Marco  and Fort Matanzas
  • Try out different instruments at Scott Sweet’s Instrument Petting Zoo
  • Visit Velofest for bike safety
  • Learn more about Gamble Rogers and help make a poster
  • Stop for information about the SA Youth Orchestra: and enjoy a performance by their stringed quartet
  • Check out information at the SA Youth Chorus
  • Engage in art projects and instrument jam with Dana Woodard
  • Make a puppet with Rick Greenough Crookshank Puppets
  • Discover the beautiful kids and mom’s clothing at LuLaRoe Moms:
  • Stop at Fun4Auggie Kids for great information and crafts
  • Discover the unique products at Fundanoodle with Libby:
  • Stop at  Bricks4Kidz for  lego fun
  • Listen to stories and engage in crafts with Friends of Anastasia State Park
  • Enjoy the Morgan Kelly interactive puppet theatre and handmade puppets

  • Meet Karl the Grateful Dog:- our favorite service dog
